CloudCamp Copenhagen 2012 is a free event to enter for everyone interested in Cloud Computing. The event will take place at the Radisson Blu Falconer Hotel & Conference Center  in Copenhagen, Denmark, coincide with the usergroup meetups at the GOTO Copenhagen conference. Note: You don’t need to have a GOTO ticket to join our CloudCamp, it’s free for everybody.

Cloud Computing - looking below the waterline – by Jesper R. Stormholt (Google)

Cloud Computing - i.e. public Cloud Computing, where the entire service is without any sw and hw licenses, as a monthly subscription delivered to a device app or pc browser, is frequently evaluated on tactical quick wins. IT Infrastructure vs IT infrastructure. Often an imminent license saving, eliminate a hw acquisition, i.e what is above the waterline. Google's experiences with Cloud Computing is that those companies that get's the greatest returns and value, are those that evalute strategically and below the waterline. This being transformation in business processes, in technology acquisition and in corporate culture.

PaaS - Why-when-how and maybe why not? – by Henrik Hasselbalch (IBM)

Platform-as-a-Service is sometimes regarded as having the largest potential versus IaaS and SaaS. Many customers are looking towards PaaS to reduce cost and complexity, but when is it applicable versus IaaS and SaaS. Finally , as hybrid clouds are the future in most cases, does it make sense to talk about a Private PaaS to complement the current Public PaaS and how is IBM addressing these needs from our customers.

Team development in the cloud: utilizing an IaaS public cloud for continuous integration – by Lars Kruse (Praqma)

The ability to quickly create, scale and delete server instances is a valuable and cost-efficient asset for software development teams working with continuous integration and automated testing. This talk will focus on the extensive experience that we have gained setting up uniquely configured lab-and test environments in a KVM-based public cloud. We will discuss some of the challenges that we continuously face and round off with a recap of good practices for all software development teams interested in pursuing cloud based continuous integration.
